Invenergy Wind Europe LLC is seeking a Project Manager to support the completion of development and execution of a wind project in Greece as well to support advancement of the company’s portfolio of wind projects in Greece.  In addition to Greece, Invenergy is active in a number of countries in Europe including the United Kingdom, Poland, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Romania with further investigation elsewhere in the region.  

The individual will report to Invenergy’s Vice President of Project Management for the company located in Chicago.  Project related direction will come from the direct report and management team in Chicago responsible for the various phases of the project.  Responsibilities include working with the company development and management teams to complete the development of an acquired project in Greece and to take the lead to put in place the needed engineering and construction agreements for the project, completion of permitting, grant applications, and support the company to close financing of the project  and see the project through construction.  In addition, at times, the Project Manager will be asked to evaluate project sites for possible wind development, managing the wind resource assessment process, initiating and managing generation interconnection activities, overseeing project design, directing the project permitting and approval process, sourcing grant funding and other available incentives and ultimately supporting the advancement of projects through financing and into construction.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred. Candidates shall have at least five years of either engineering or project development experience or have some educational background in wind energy.  Strong communication and entrepreneurial skills are essential.  International experience is desirable and having fluent language skills for conducting business in Greece is required and multiple language capabilities is a strong advantage.
