
Continuing his "25 live tour" which began in September of 2006, George Michael will be giving a performance in Athens on July 26th at the Olympic Stadium. After a relative lull in his career, the musician has seen a steady increase of publicity since the release of his latest album " Twenty Five." Ticket sales have been very " hot " but seats are still available.

DF: The boys from the exoterikou (out of country) are back again with their latest ode to Greece.

Cyprus entrant for 2007 Eurovision, Evridiki and the composer of the song Dimitris Korgialas appeared on the prime time news of Alter Television and talked live from Helsinki with the top Greek newscaster Mr Nikos Hatzinikolaou. Evridiki said that she was happy and proud of her performance. She feels gratitude for the support she received from everyone and she urged everyone in Europe to support Sarbel in today's final. (Many media outlets were furious she did not make it to the final.)
As for today, Sarbel representing Greece, will compete for first place with 23 other countries. The Eurovision Song Contest 2007 final will be broadcast live from the Hartwall Arena at 21:00 CET. Where and how can you watch the final?

Elena Paparizou will soon be releasing her first French album, in an attempt to continue to release her music to a broader audience. While Elena speaks Greek, English and Swedish fluentley; she also is able to converse in both French and Spanish.
Her international album The Game of Love will be repackaged for the French market this spring as she continues to promote herself. The repackaged version will feature Le Temps De Fleurs by Dalida, and also a French version of Teardrops. It will be her first release in France. More promotion will follow around the world after that.
DF Fun Fact:
Elena recently recorded a theme song for a new Greek TV show called Mazi Sou. The song is currently very high on the radio charts, and has been released on the official soundtrack of the show along with another song she recorded for it called Na Ksipnao Kai Na Mai Mazi Sou.

Sarbel, Greece's chosen representative for EuroVision 2007, will be using the Easter holiday to travel and promote his song, "Yassou Maria." Already having visited Bulgaria, Russia and Turkey; Sarbel will head "home" to London to continue his promo tour. Sarbel was born and raised in London and still have relatives residing there.
After his stay in London the travel schedule for Sarbel is as follows:
- Cyprus (his father's native home) April 14 - 15
- Sweden April 16 - 18
- Romania April 20 - 22

“Aroma of Constantinople†is the title of a new triple CD collection including traditional and contemporary songs from Constantinople recently released by “Protaseisâ€. The new CD follows the release of another highly successful musical collection which marked enormous sales entitled “Aroma of Smyrna."
The common musical tradition of both Greek and Turkish cultures is reflected in the CD with songs in Greek as well as Turkish. The collection includes video material with exquisite footage from Constantinople.

After months of speculation of who will follow in Anna Vissi's footsteps to represent Greece in EuroVision 2007, Sarbel competed together with Tamta and Christos Dantis and won the golden ticket for Helsinki. Sarbel, 26 years old, will represent Greece in Helsinki with his song
Yassou Maria. He'll be the 28th representative of Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest.The composers are Marcus Englof & Alex Papaconstantinou and the lyrics are written by Mack.
Sarbel was born on 14th May 1981 in London,UK, to a Greek Cypriot father and a Lebanese mother. Thanks to Anna Vissi's 9th place finish last year; Greece will automatically make it to the finals in 2007. Greece has been in the top 10 ranking since 2004.

Athena Andreadis may not be familiar name outside theUK; or even to online music hipsters; but this young Greek from London is ready to break out. Launching initially online through contacts and friends, her genre of music; which combines elements of jazz, folk, contemporary and classical music (with a taste of Greek flair) has evolved into an English songwriting style that is unmistakably her own.
She recently debuted (February 5th) her first album, "Breathe with Me,'' but has been getting press coverage for months before that from the numerous shows she has preformed at all over the UK. She is now in the midst of a busy 20 day UK tour promoting her new album.

The days are counting down until Greece chooses the finalist who will represent the country in the upcoming Eurovision competition in Helsinki. The three finalists include
Sarbel, Tamta and Christos Dantis; each with a unique blend of instruments and song, which help them differentiate between each other. (All the songs are in English by the way, except for a few phrases in Greek in Tamta's song.)
A PR push by ERT will follow in the next few weeks to the general Greek public to see what people like the most.
