Have work, will travel.

According to a recent Manpower study, 9 out of 10 Greeks are eager to move to another city or country for better working conditions.  More specifically, 87.7% of Greeks would move to another city or country for work which is higher than the global average of 78%.

The majority of those surveyed selected the UK, USA and Italy as the preferred countries to move to for work, while 30% of those surveyed are willing to move anywhere for work.

The top three reasons for this eagerness to move for work are increased salary, more employment opportunities, and career development.  And most Greeks would like their current employers to pay for their move.

GRFront... ...and it will until Greece starts to implement labor reforms and continues to privatize more. Unfortunately as long as the government controls the labor market. You will be destined to work long hours for low pay. Greece needs to implement the labor reforms that say Ireland did in the early 90's or even the UK for that matter.

dariotisa... ...This side of the fence sucks- what about those stats on the amount of hours Greeks work? Didn't you guys post a study that showed Greeks to be among the top of Europe in hours worked per week? And our salaries are the lowest. And our food is the most expensive. And job security- what's that? (God I wish I was in the Dimosio!)
