In a small little village -right in the middle of the island of Naxos, art potter, Katharina Bolesch runs a great little workshop and gallery. The mighty olive is the backbone of Katharina's pottery, but she also includes associated motifs such as lizards, octopuses, bees and frogs, as well as that other great Naxian symbol, the vine.
DF: Each piece of work is entirely handmade. Worth checking out and making a mental note next time you're on the island.

Ageliki... ...I've been to this place and have some of their olive bowls. Katharina is quite possibly one of the nicest people around and her work is always a conversation piece. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and there are many copycat artists that are no where near as great as her.
