This story is actually a few months old and not directly related to Greece but hey...we figure you're not going to find this type of information in your local church bullitin so someone has to deliver it.
It all started back in 1999 when a US disc jockey (from Seattle, WA) parodied the Beach Boys song "Kokomo" (a song in DF's "ten worst American tunes of all time" category). The DJ was making light of the US/NATO involvement in Kosovo.
Fast forward to 2002 when a group of Norwegian peace keepers in Kosovo decided to make a video with the song. Well, as these things tend to go, the video made its way to the internet where it caused an international diplomatic row. The Norwegians have since issued an apology, but alas the video, thanks to the Internet, will never be forgotten.
Enjoy.*
