The Oscar for Artistic Direction that was awarded to 30 year old Vasilis Fotopoulos in 1964 for the film “Zorba the Greek” --directed by Mihalis Cacoyiannis, has just been added to the Benaki museum's collection. The donation was made by the brother of the internationally acclaimed scenic designer and artist.

 

Also, it was reported that this year's Oscar goodie bags included some fine Greek olive oil, courtesy of the Greek tourism organization.
