PROTEST FOR THE RETURN OF THE ELGIN MARBLES TO BE HELD OUTSIDE BRITISH MUSEUM ON SATURDAY

Return the Marbles back to Greece.  Spearheaded by Lazaros Filippidis, the goal for the volunteers and protestors who will gather outside the British Museum on Saturday December 2nd is to see justice served for the marbles.  They will be passing out flyers, of which you can all check out below, to visitors to the museum and people who just pass by; advocating the return of the marbles back to Greece.  The marbles were taken to Britan at the end of the Ottoman Occupation of Athens illegally.  Many of the British, and others around the world, have advocated for the return of the antiquities.

As we have reported recently, both institutions around the world and individuals, have begun returning Greek antiquities from all over, back to Greece.

DF: Should the British Museum follow suit? Do we really need to ask?
