Erotokritos is the name of the Cypriot born, Paris based designerwho was the darling of the recent Athens Fashion Week in Greece.Although Erotokritos is already an established designer, with twoboutiques in Paris named after him, this was the first time thedesigner took part in any of Athens' fashion weeks. His collection canbe found at department stores like Harrod's in the UK and many moreretailers in America, Europe, and Japan. Erotokritos is best known forhis colorful womens designs which feature assymetrical, offbeatpatterns, attracting a trendy consumer in her twenties or thirties.Since launching his own label in 1994, the work of Erotokritos has beendescribed as being effortlessly chic. Prior to creating his own line,Erotokritos worked for some big name Parisian fashion houses, such asThierry Mugler. Stars like Kate Moss, Kirsten Dunst, and Kate Blanchetthave all worn the designer's clothes and have shopped at his Parisboutiques. Erotokritos loves living in Paris, but misses the slowerpaced lifestyle of Cyprus and tries to spend at least four months ayear in Nicosia.
