Greece has been at the nexus of quite a few oil pipeline projects. There's the Greek-Italian pipeline, the South European Gas Ring and the Bourgas-Alexandroupolis pipeline. And now, "South Stream," a proposed Gazprom gas project between Greece and Russia.
DF: Karamanlis is said to be making a trip to Moscow this month to agree to Greece’s participation in the project which will transport natural gas from Russia’s Black Sea coast to Italy.
