20 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall: Nicosia still divided

This week, Berlin (and the world as a matter of fact) celebrated the 20 year anniversary of the collapse of the Berlin Wall, ending years of isolation for western Berlin and signifying the beginning of the collapse of the Iron Curtain. But while that curtain fell, Nicosia remained divided, and to this day remains the ONLY divided capital in the world.

Reunification talks have started and stalled, proposals have come and gone, and leaders from both sides have promised to bring an end to the division.

Do you think that the island will ever be reunited and the division of Nicosia will end?

Related note: The UK, which operates two bases on Cyprus, has offered to give up more than half the land it occupies back to the Cypriot people if reunification happens.
